Bicycle infrastructure: more than just a bar to lock your bike

The bicycle is experiencing a real renaissance in our cities and countryside. Whether as an efficient, healthy and environmentally friendly means of transport to work or for business, or as a means of relaxation and exploration during leisure time, the bicycle is becoming an increasingly popular companion. However, with this positive trend, there is a growing need for quality and well thought-out infrastructure to make cyclists' journeys easier and more enjoyable. This is where cycling urban furniture comes into play.

Bike racks and shelters are not just an addition to the public space. For the daily commuter cyclist, they are a basic security feature - the ability to safely and conveniently park their vehicle, protected from the weather and trespassers. Without this basic infrastructure, regular bicycle use would be unthinkable for many. Similarly, service racks, even with just a pump and basic tools, can be an invaluable tool in an emergency and greatly enhance the comfort and sense of security when moving around town.

The development of a network of cycle paths then opens up another dimension. Recreational cycling is attracting more and more people, but a trail alone is not enough. To complete the experience, cyclists need places to rest - benches, picnic tables, and of course, again, racks where they can safely put their bikes away when they want to stretch their legs or enjoy the view. These elements turn an ordinary route into a pleasant destination or stop. In the age of internet reviews, information about a pleasant trip along a particular route spreads very quickly. Investing in infrastructure on a bike trail is an investment in the tourism development of the region.

A specific and growing need is the building of complex cycling points, especially at transport hubs such as railway stations. The possibility to safely store a bicycle at the station and continue by train (or vice versa) fundamentally supports combined transport, reduces dependency on cars and contributes to more sustainable mobility. Cycling urban furniture is therefore not just a passive element. It actively shapes our transport habits, increases the attractiveness of cycling, promotes healthy lifestyles and contributes to creating more pleasant and functional cities and recreational areas. Investing in it is an investment in modern, sustainable and user-friendly mobility.

We offer
Cycling street furniture

A bicycle rack is an obligatory element of furniture for cyclists. Our bike racks can be elegant, stackable, solid, secure or all-in-one. It depends on your choice and the location you are considering. At the city office? By a school? On a cycle path? But the offer doesn't stop at stands. Bike shelters, both freely accessible and lockable, are needed to promote active cycling. There are also cycle path facilities, rest areas, service racks and other furniture.

Certified solutions

We have developed our own Prisma bike stand, which combines a sophisticated design with rounded, safe shapes, endless connectivity and high usability. This bike stand, which is available in various versions (single-sided, double-sided, straight, diagonal, etc.), has undergone rigorous testing to obtain the DIN (Deutsches Institut für Normung) standard certification. And above all, it meets the demands of the most competent people - the cyclists themselves. This is confirmed by the certification of the ADFC (Allgemeiner Deutscher Fahrrad Club), of which the Prisma is one of the few cycle stands that can boast.

Not only for cyclists

Products that are used by cyclists serve motorists equally well. Covered parking spaces (Carports) protect cars from inclement weather such as hail, snow showers, direct sunlight, etc. An often overlooked feature is the roofing of charging stations for electric vehicles. These can withstand the weather on their own, but the driver is no longer the focus. Even 10 seconds of operating a stand in the middle of a thunderstorm can cause a lot of inconvenience. To protect pedestrians and pedestrian zones, we offer barrier posts, bollards, guardrails and other elements.
